Opportunity to submit questions on A2MP & the Traffic Study

Those of you who attended the ARAG meeting on Wednesday 13 May know that unfortunately the meeting was cut short and we were unable to complete the Question and Answer session with the Council staff who attended on the:

  • Alexandria to Moore Park Roadworks
  • Planned changes following the Traffic Study conducted by the Council to manage the impacts of WestCONnex on our streets.

The presentation by the Council can be found here and we invite you to submit questions to ARAG via the info@arag.org.au mailbox which we will pass on to the Council.

Answers will be published on our website as soon as we receive them.

If any of your neighbours were unable to make the meeting, please encourage them to participate and ask any questions

Virtual meeting this month.

The topic of the meeting will be how we as a community can support each other during this lockdown period.

No meeting this month

There won’t be an ARAG meeting this month.

Depending on what happens with Coronavirus, we may not be able to have a face to face meeting next month either.

We’ll keep you advised.


PS. I’ve been asked if we cancelled because of Coronavirus, and the answer is no. We’d already decided to cancel for other reasons.

February meeting, this Wednesday

Happy New Year. For our first meeting of 2020, we have an update on the Waterloo Housing Estate, a quick word on the St Peters Interchange, and whatever else you would to discuss.

The meeting will be at 7pm, Wednesday 12 February at Alexandria Town Hall, 73 Garden St.

Meeting Wednesday – traffic and ticket parking

– the Alexandria Traffic Study, and

The agenda for the October ARAG meeting is:

  • Improving our bus services
  • Update on ATP

August Meeting – new Redfern Station bridge

The agenda for the August ARAG meeting is:

  • Redfern Station – we have a speaker coming from Transport for NSW to talk about the new proposed bridge (AKA concourse)
  • Euston Road Widening (Alexandria to Moore Park, or A2MP) – a short update
  • Drilling in Sydney Park – what’s going on?

The meeting will be at:

  • 7pm, Wednesday 14 August
  • Alexandria Town Hall, 73 Garden St, Alexandria.

July Meeting Wednesday – AGM, new southern entrance to Redfern Station, Alex to Moore Park road expansion

A great turnout at our June meeting

At our June meeting, Sydney City Council came to speak to us on two very important issues:

  • Mitigating the increased traffic from WestConnex
  • Parking, including a proposed trial of meter parking.

Come and Meet the Federal Candidates for Sydney – Wednesday 10/4

As we did for the State election, ARAG, REDWatch and Friends of Erskineville are holding a Federal election candidates forum for the seat of Sydney:

  • Wednesday, 10 April, from 7pm to 8pm
  • Alexandria Town Hall, 73 Garden St, Alexandria.

We will ask candidates to begin by answering three questions, and then go to questions from the floor. Continue reading
