The City of Sydney are holding a public meeting on the NSW Government’s plans for the redevelopment of the Waterloo Housing Estate and the Waterloo Metro Development.
The meeting will be on Wednesday 6 March at Alexandria Town Hall, from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Waterloo is about to be redeveloped. Past proposals have included up six towers of between 33 and 40 storeys plus another 11 towers of between 16 and 32 storeys.

Plans for the Waterloo Metro Quarter Precinct and the Waterloo Metro Quarter Over Station Development are both open for comment until Wednesday, 30th Jan:
It’s OK to make the same submission at both websites – although they are two parts of the same project, they each have their own separate review process.

It’s been announced that three new high rise towers of up to 30 storeys will be built over the site of the future Waterloo Metro Station, at the corner of Henderson and Botany Road.
The towers should be occupied by 2022, about two years prior to the planned opening of Waterloo Metro Station.

The government has announced 700 apartments to be built (starting basically, now) over the future site of the Waterloo Metro station (scheduled for 2024).
